Dublin
After we travelled to Prague and Germany I had found that the Pilsner was a better beer than the Guinness I had come accustomed too at home which was my favorite. The only way to really determine which beer is better is to travel to the place where the dark stuff is brewed…Dublin. We caught an early flight out of Rome and landed in Dublin at about 2 o’clock Dublin time. We dropped...
I grandi spazi aperti (The great outdoors)
The past few weeks have pretty much been spent enjoying the beautiful weather we have been having here lately. About a week and a half ago I got the opportunity to play some tennis on the famous red clay of Rome. Thanks to my dad, who was watching the very attractive girl on the tv show destination tennis, he let me know of some public courts that rent rackets in Rome, which is only an hour by...

La fine e prossima (The end is near)
The last two days of our spring break were spent in Stuttgart and Milano. Our hostel was so far away from downtown that we didnt have any time to check out anything because of lack of proximity to public transportation. So we just chilled in our hostel, which was actual a brand new apartment with a living room and kitchen, and waited for our early flight back to Italy in the morning. We arrived at...
Secondo Fermata, Munchen
We took a five hour bus ride from Prague to Munich, and when we arrived we were ready to explore. We were pleasantly suprised again by the efficiency and cleanliness of the public transportation. We drop off our stuff at the hostel and head towards the main center called Marianplatz (Marys Plaza). We looked around for awhile and then headed to the location of our beer challenge. Now it was...
Prima Fermata, Praha
The first stop on our adventure outside of Italy is Prague. We arrived in Prague on Saturday afternoon and after dropping our stuff off at the hostel we headed for the city center. We jumped on the subway system which was by far the cleanest and most efficient system we had seen yet. When we got to the city center we were happy to find a festival that was going on the Old Town center for the...
The next three days were spent in the beautiful city of Venezia. We arrived on Wednesday and had some time to roam around before we went out to dinner that night for one of our friends. The weather was terrible that day but we did get to see what the combination of rain and high tide does to the city. San Marco’s square, which is the lowest point of the islands, was completely flooded with...
A nord Andiamo (To the north we go)
The north trip consisted of two main cities in the region of Veneto, which is on the northeastern part of the country. The trip began on March 14th (a really awesome day), and we were off to the city of Romeo and Juliet…Verona. We arrived in the afternoon and we free to walk around awhile until the group scheduled dinner in the evening. At dinner everyone sang happy birthday to me and my...
Quando a Roma...(When in Rome)
The week started off pretty typical but on Tuesday we had some watercolor assignments and some diagrams “due” at the end of class. Of course no one in my apartment had them done, so we had to go in early and try to throw some stuff together. Then one of our professors made a mistake in an announcement saying our stuff was actually due Thursday. He tried to correct himself but then...

Alla toscana e al di là (To Tuscany and beyond)
The week started like normal, consisting of four pretty uneventful days of class where we were introduced to our final project (which is a chapel in Orvieto…lame) and a little History, Italian, and Watercolor of course. Thursday night we continued with our tradition of making a family dinner with the 5 girl house. We decided to make chicken parmesan with a side of cheese garlic potatoes. The meal...
Al sud andiamo...(To the south we go)
After two short days of school on Monday and Tuesday, the class was off to the south of Italy for Wednesday through Friday and the weekend on your own. In my opinion, if the week is shorter than the weekend, then the week should be cancelled but apparently everybody doesn’t think that way. But nevertheless, the two days of school flew by and Wednesday came quick.
The bus was leaving Orvieto at 8...
Elegantemente tardi (fashionably late)
After weeks of my Mom and Dad being on my back, im gonna try to keep them happy and post some text and possibly a few pics of what it is we are actually doing here. For the sake of time, you can read mitch or tylers blogs to get you up to speed to where we are now.
This weekend had so much potential….we had a class trip to Florence on Friday, then it was off to Rome on Saturday for a Serie...
